Five Things in Cleveland That You Have to Check Out This Spring
Whether you’re here visiting friends or family, here for a short vacation, or you live in Cleveland and just want to find some entertainment options, look no further. We’ve compiled the city’s gems into a short and sweet list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring. This Ohio city has a lot of hidden gems that will keep your family, or your group of friends, having fun.

Check out the jazz and blues scene
While Cleveland, Ohio is definitely not New Orleans, there are still some great places that feature live jazz and blues music! If live music is your thing, Cleveland is your place, and these are some of the top places you’ll want to check out on our list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring. Here are a few to try out...

Nighttown Cleveland
With live shows just about every night, this place has all of the entertainment you could possibly need. Not only are they know for entertainment, but they also have a full menu of food with six dining rooms and three bars. They also have a four-seasons outdoor dining area with moveable walls, which is great for those warmer spring days!

BOP STOP at The Music Settlement
Located on the Near-West side of Cleveland, the BOP STOP is a great place to spend your evening. Not only is it a great time, but the money from your ticket purchase goes to a great cause. With over 250 events hosted per year, you can be sure to find a great show to catch during your time in Cleveland this spring.

Cultural Gardens
The mission of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens is to bring “peace through mutual understanding,” and that is exactly what it does. The gardens depict poets, scientists and more, all of whom have contributed to the cultures of the world. The gardens are located in Rockefeller Park and span about two miles.

West Side Market
Cleveland’s oldest publicly owned market, the Westside Market has over 100 different vendors which feature a lot of different ethnic diversity. From fresh flowers, to baked goods, to fresh meat and veggies, this market really does have it all. Tourists travel from all over to check out this market, and they have even been featured on the Travel Channel and Food Network. It’s no wonder why it made it onto our list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring. Here are a few of the vendors we’d check out if we were you...

The Cheese Shop
The Cheese Shop offers over 175 kinds of rare and traditional cheeses from all over the world. Yes, that’s right, 175! That’s a lot of cheese, guys. Check it out and bring some cheese home for your night wine night.

Theresa’s Bakery
Bread and pastries are just two of the treats offered at Theresa’s Bakery. Not only do they have bread, but they actually have over 30 kinds of bread. That’s a lot of bread! Did we mention cannolis? Because they have those too… 17 flavors of them, in fact. Definitely one you’ll want to add to the list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring.

B.A. Sweetie Candy Company
Not only is B.A. Sweetie Candy Company a candy shop, but they actually specialize in nostalgic and hard-to-find candies. That means that they might just have that candy that you used to eat as a kid but haven’t been able to find anywhere else. Give them a try if you’re looking for something sweet!

Watch an Indians Game
Watching a Cleveland Indians baseball game is one of the classic Cleveland traditions, but something you can’t talk about Cleveland in the spring without. Year after year, Cleveland fans gather at Progressive Field to see the Indians take on opponents game after game, and there’s nothing like it. Do yourself a favor and partake in this, one of the most American pastimes.

The Holden Arboretum
Located about half an hour from downtown, The Holden Arboretum features the Murch Canopy Walk and Kalberer Family Emergent Tower. While this is a little difficult to fully describe, (you have to go to get the full experience) The Murch Canopy Walk is basically a really long walkway that is 65 feet above ground in a forest. The tower goes even higher, hitting a height of 120 feet. This isn’t an experience you get everyday, and this unique little gem of an experience in Cleveland is one of our favorites on the list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring. You’ll thank us later!

Now get out there and explore the Land!
Now that you’ve read our list of five things in Cleveland that you have to check out this spring, you’re officially ready to go out and explore Cleveland, or as some call it, “The Land.” From live nightlife entertainment to exploring forests at 120 feet, there really is no limit to what you can do in Cleveland, Ohio. Pack up the kids or get your friends together and get ready to have a fun adventure, because there’s an endless amount of adventures awaiting you in Cleveland. Have fun exploring!
