You'll enjoy the water with the assurance of the safety of your passengers' safety, or your investment.
If you're in an accident or your watercraft is stolen, it costs money, often a lot of money, to fix or replace it.
If you or any passengers are injured in an accident, medical costs can be extremely expensive.
If your watercraft is responsible for damage or injury to others, you may be sued for much more than you're worth.
Your watercraft also needs protection when it's on land. Accidents can happen while towing a watercraft.

A couple of our carriers on the boat side offer some unique coverages you might not get elsewhere if you simply add your boat onto your standard home and auto policy. In some cases we will advise you to do that as well, but in other cases you may need a unique and specific policy for your boat. We have compiled some highlights from a couple carriers including Progressive which specialize in modern boats (typically 2000 and newer) and Hagerty which specializes in classic boats (typically 2000 and older). We know that you can go anywhere for boat insurance in Cleveland, but if you want to work with an agency that truly understands your boat and the best way to insure it, give us a call at 440.324-3732 or contact us via email any time!
Additional Coverage
Unlimited small accident forgiveness They don’t count any small accidents of $500 or less against you or charge you more because of one.
Large accident forgiveness If you’ve been with them for at least four years and have not filed a claim in the last three years, we won’t count an accident against you at your next renewal, regardless of what it costs.
Fuel spill This pays the cost of cleaning up a fuel spill, even if your boat sinks.
Wreckage removal If your boat sinks, they'll cover the costs of removing your boat from the water (if removal is legally required).
Roadside assistance If your trailer or tow vehicle becomes disabled, they'll pay to tow you to the nearest repair shop. This coverage is included if you have a trailer on your policy.
Water sports coverage This is automatically included on every Progressive watercraft policy and pays for any injuries or damages to property for which the boat owner is liable—if people are tubing, knee boarding, wake boarding, wake surfing or other similar activities. This doesn’t cover parasailing, kite boarding or other activities in which someone is pulled through the air.
Hagerty offers coverage on boats from year 2000 and older which include; Agreed Value: If you have a covered total loss, you receive the full agreed value the boat is insured for on your policy. Many insurance programs only pay "up to" the insured value on your policy; this is known as a Stated Value policy. In other words, you may not receive the full insured amount. Make sure you know exactly what your policy pays.
Low Premiums: We understand your boat won’t be driven daily or used like a car. Unlike everyday insurance carriers, Hagerty provides coverage geared specifically to your collector boat and the way you use it.
Club Discounts: As an added bonus to boaters who are involved in the hobby, we provide substantial discounts to members of most established collector boating clubs. Unlimited Pleasure Usage - Hagerty encourages pleasure use, which includes unlimited coverage for US and Canadian Territorial Waters. Great boats were made to be enjoyed, so we don’t require a mandatory winter lay-up period should you be heading for warmer waters that time of year. In-House Claims Service - Your claim is handled by a classic boat insurance expert in-house. You get personal and direct client service even during the busiest times of the year. We also work with your repair shop of choice to ensure repairs are done the right way by someone you trust. Unlimited Land Transportation: Wherever you take your boat, your Hagerty coverage goes with you, even when it’s on the trailer on the way to the lake or in storage for the off-season. We offer unlimited overland transportation within the United States and Canada.
Boat Restoration Insurance: A boat restoration can be a time-consuming and expensive project, so what happens if you experience a loss during the restoration? Well, if you have the right insurance coverage, this doesn’t have to be such a scary question. With the Hagerty Port Risk policy it doesn’t matter if you’re restoring a watercraft yourself or using a professional facility, we can assure that you're covered. The policy includes fire, theft, and vandalism as well as overland transportation coverage. We will work with you to maintain the appropriate value while the boat is being restored. When the restoration is complete, we agree on the restored value and navigation can be added for full in-water operation.
